Happy Easter to all our readers! We hope you’re all having a wonderful long weekend and spending lots of quality time with your family. Unfortunately, our current jobs don’t really allow much time for that this weekend, but we were fortunate enough to spend lots of time with both my mom & step, as well as Max’s parents last weekend. And now it’s back to reality, and back to meal planning.
I have to ask you guys a question before I get started though. What do you think about the weekly meal plan posts being published on Sundays? Is that a good day for you, or it’s too late for you to start your own weekly meal plan? Since my days off are changing now, I’m strongly considering switching up my planning day, but I wanted to ask you all first. The good part is that I can still do my planning on whichever day works best for me, and then publish whichever day works best for you. So make sure to let me know your thoughts in the comments!
OK! Time to get right down it.
The first thing I did yesterday was to look at my blank monthly calendar and mark out 30 days worth of recipes. I like having all my recipes on a monthly meal planner so that I don’t have to search for recipes every single week. It’s not set in stone, I honestly change it up quite often, but it’s a good draft of what I want to be eating in the near future. I got my free monthly printable here if you want to get some for yourself!
As I’m sure you all know, the next step is to list 7 meals for the actual weekly meal plan in question.

REVIEW
As you can probably see, I added quick a few extra items on our grocery list for this week. The reason being is that a lot of canned items were on sale for a very good price so I wanted to fill up our stockpile. And also, I have been so exhausted the past few days / I know I will be even busier this week, so I decided to buy a few frozen treats. I know what you’re thinking, if you’re so busy and you’re treating yourself to frozen pizza, why go on a Date Night his week? Well I have a perfectly good explanation for you my frugal friend! Max and I had received a gift card for East Side Mario’s for Christmas, and we haven’t made the time to go eat there yet. And on top of that, I have some coupons for East Side Mario’s that are expiring next week so we might as well save even more money by putting them to good use!
